These two are tiny - 4” x 4” - oils studies.  As the light changed out my office window in Somerville from October to November and now December, I’ve been using my cell phone camera to catch compositions and colors.  I’ve been working deliberately to break the composition down to it’s essentials and abstract the subject matter.  This is a little new for me.  Not sure where it’s going - but after seeing a bunch of Diebenkorn and Wayne Thiebaud in San Francisco in November - I felt drawn back to more urban subject matter and I feel inspired to push it beyond simple representation.
