Hey… Who’s that in Art New England Magazine? Why it’s me! John noticed the ad for the WGBH Art Auction, and much to our surprise and delight, one of my paintings is featured! I’ve blogged it before, but here are the vital statistics: Title: “Light Nestles in These Walls”, Size: 18” x 18”, Media: oil on canvas.

Three great finds this weekend.
In a little store in Brookline Village called Abeille, I found this FABULOUS woodblock from Pakistan. Can’t wait to use it for monoprinting.
At the MFA Boston, in the bookshop this book by one of my art heroes Maira Kalman.
And lastly, The Clock. Okay, this is just my kitchen clock, but the clock I’m talking about is an installation at the MFA by artist Christian Marclay. It is like curated channel surfing - hypnotic, strangely riveting, and somehow full of themes and big ideas. I can’t recommend it too highly.
