Sunny Things, 16” x 20”, oil on canvas. I had my class doing paintings of this set up and made them do it all in palette knife. It was a really fun exercise. They didn’t have as much time as I did, and I did use brush as well as knife. After I finished, I realized this painting reminds me a lot of a larger piece I did a while back called "Mandarin Moon"; the background mostly, but also the mark-making.
