I posted the sketch for this a short time ago with other pages from my sketchbook. Saw this truck parked at a cottage. The license plate was “UNK HANK”, which made me smile and think of my own Uncle Hank.

Here’s the sketch for that painting I posted several days ago. Using cadmium orange, ultramarine blue, black and white I was trying to see how far I could push the palette. Same colors on the final painting.

John and I just want to let you know that we’re participating in the WGBH Art Auction this summer. The auction is a juried show. In addition to both being chosen to participate, we’re excited to let you know that Caroline is the featured artist this year! This means her painting is being used for the catalog cover and other marketing materials.
As part of the event, WGBH interviewed us both. The television interview will air during the broadcast of the auction on July 30, on Channel 2, sometime between 8:00 - 10:00 p.m.Lastly, we hope you can join us for the kick off of the Boston Summer Arts Walk. The event is co-sponsored by WGBH and the auction, and it promises to be a really fun night. We will definitely be there, and hope you will too!

I’m working on a large scale project that is quite different from my landscapey-abstractish work. This image was one of the first I produced and he sits above my easel to inspire me. Sorry for the lack of posts. In time I will have a whole lot to show…
Headed to the Harbor, 16”x20”, oil on canvas. This is another Wellfleet scene from last summer. Cottages tucked away behind the trees. Harbor buildings across the parking lot with water just beyond.
This painting will be for sale at the Cambridge School of Weston’s “Changing Lives with Art” fundraising auction. The auction is onSaturday, April 27, 2013 in the Garthwaite Center for Science and Art.
